I Chose GW Because: I chose GWU because when I toured the Public Health building, I instantly felt like I belonged here. The faculty was also very welcoming and helpful during my admissions process. The MCH program is also unique here because there are so many opportunities with the MCH Center of Excellence. I love that GWU is located right in downtown DC because I know I will have plenty of opportunity for hands-on experiences within the public health field.
Bragging Rights: I joined Teach for America right after college and before entering graduate school, which was one of the most challenging experiences of my life. I gained really valuable exposure to working with students in underserved communities, and I think the experience of being a teacher will really prepare me for my public health career.
Hobbies/Personal Interests: I love reading, hiking, playing tennis, and really anything active!
People Might Be Surprised to Know That: On the day I graduated from undergrad, I was interviewed by the local news!
