Sana Tahir Spring 2026 Fellowship Experience

This spring, 2026, I got an amazing opportunity to do a fellowship at the Body Agency Collective organization. I worked on the Gender Based Violence project along with my teammates to increase awareness regarding this sensitive topic among the public with the campaign #StandWithHer. My role as a public health intern enabled me to conduct research, including reviewing the current public health literature on gender-based violence, synthesizing new findings, and tailoring educational materials for diverse audiences. 
In addition, I worked with CEO Kate Roberts and other team members to organize the film screening of “To Kill The Tiger” at the George Washington University Campus to spark dialogue on the issue of gender-based violence. I am going to continue my fellowship at The Body Agency Collective organization this summer by working on the Impact Academy Grant Funding project. 
Overall, this Maternal and Child Health (MCH) fellowship at the Body Agency Collective strengthened my understanding of health equity and provided me with practical experience in advocacy, program development, and grant writing.
