Tremendous advances in women's health have occurred in the 30 years since the launch of Women's Health Issues, yet not all women have benefited equally (Vyas et al., 2021). Inequities in health outcomes by race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity reflect structural racism and other systemic inequities, as well as institutional and interpersonal racism, and other intersecting forms of discrimination that individuals encounter as they seek health care.
