Dr. Monica Ruiz was recently highlighted alongside her partnership with Beacon House, a a Black-led, Black-benefiting non-profit afterschool education and youth development organization serving children and families in Northeast Washington, DC. Dr. Ruiz and a team of MCH students created a website for Beacon House to create a resource for youth mental health.
