Practice Fellowship Experience - The Body Agency

I had the opportunity to work as a programmatic/ content developer for The Body Agency (TBA) over this semester. TBA is an excellent platform for all things menstrual health, sexual wellness & reproductive care. They also have a non-profit wing – The Body Agency Collective, that focuses on healthcare accessibility, education, job creation and advocacy for vulnerable communities around the world.

During my time as a fellow, I got to work on creating social media content for the dissemination of reliable, evidence-based information on sexual and reproductive health topics. The research helped me enhance my ability to communicate complex public health concepts in an accessible and engaging manner. I was also tasked with developing a theory of change for the organization, which gave me the opportunity to apply various frameworks of health promotion that I learnt in my public health curriculum. Kate Roberts, who is the founder of TBA, leads our weekly meetings where we are encouraged to share our thoughts on intervention strategies and take on individual projects. I would highly recommend applying to the body agency for their practicum fellowship!
